THREE of Ludlow Food Centre’s handmade products have impressed the tasting panel at the Great British Food Awards.

They have been shortlisted for tasting by expert celebrity food judges who will pick the final winners, which will be announced later this summer.

The three products that Ludlow Food Centre have impressed the panel with is their dry cured back bacon entered into the ‘best bacon’ category, mince pies entered into the ‘best sweet bake’ category, and blood orange and gin marmalade that was entered into the ‘best sweet preserve/sauce’ category.

Launched in 2014, the Great British Food Awards celebrate the country’s finest home-grown ingredients, as well as the hard-working people who produce and cook with them.

“We are so lucky to have such skilled artisans across the entire business,” said Jon Edwards, managing director at Ludlow Food Centre.

The passion, dedication and skill that goes in to each of Ludlow Food Centre’s products is second to none and I’m delighted that three of our products produced in the butchery, bakery and the jams and pickles kitchen have been recognised in these prestigious awards.”

Ludlow Food Centre has also been nominated as Best Independent Retailer in the Midlands category at the Great British Food Awards but needs your help as it is now down to the great British public for their deciding votes.

Ludlow Food Centre would really appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to head on over to the online voting form to cast your vote for them…
