A TRAVEL agency in Ross-on-Wye has been robbed.
The raider threatened staff with a liquid in a bottle which he said was acid at Miles Morgan Travel, before leaving with euros worth £650.
Sergeant Sarah Bennett, of West Mercia Police, said: "The victims were threatened with a liquid in a bottle; the suspect claimed it was acid. At this time we don’t know exactly what was in the bottle and this will form part of the investigation."
She added: "This was clearly a distressing incident.
"Extensive enquiries are being made and anyone with information should get in touch."
The robber is described as being either eastern European or middle eastern with a strong accent.
He is between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 10ins tall, plump and in his late 40s.
Sgt Bennett said: "I'd ask people in the area to be on the lookout for a man fitting this description attempting to change an amount of euros similar to the amount stolen."
The raid at the agency, in the Market Place, happened at around 4.45pm yesterday (Saturday).
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 521s of 17 February 2018.
