THE driver of a van who failed to stop at the scene of a crash with a motorbike in Kidderminster has been released under investigation.

The vehicles were involved in a collision at around 8pm on Chester Road North near the Rose Theatre on Sunday, July 15.

A white Vauxhall Combo van and a white Moto Guzzi motorcycle were involved.

It is believed that both vehicles may have been on the junction of the A449 at Chester Road and the A456 at Land Oak prior to the collision.

The driver of the van, a man in his 30s, failed to stop at the scene but has since been arrested and released under investigation.

The driver of the motorcycle, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital and sustained minor injuries.

Officers are urging anyone who saw the vehicles on the junction of the A449 at Chester Road and the A456 at Land Oak or on Chester Road near the Rose Theatre to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 729s.
