GARDENS will be opened in the Cotswolds on Sunday from 1pm until 5pm in the village of Wyck Rissington.

Greenfields Farm has views to the Windrush Valley, abundant fruit trees including ancient perry pears, bees, sheep and fish and woodland trees just beginning to change colour.

College Farm is back in the group after a few years’ absence, and has been recreated as a family garden around an 18th-century farmhouse. There’s a duckpond and new for 2017 is the walled garden.

Chestnut Court continues to be reshaped and replanted for all seasons as it enjoys its sixth season. It has a wonderful herbaceous border packed with late summer perennials and open views over countryside.

Maces Cottage is a wildlife haven with fruit-laden orchard trees and an excellent selection of shrubs, trees in autumn shades, herbaceous perennials and a productive autumnal vegetable plot.

Laurence House has been extensively redeveloped lately and has a new pond. The two and a half acre garden features a wide range of unusual shrubs and has wonderful views over the Cotswold countryside at its radiant late summer best.
