CHIPPING Campden School will host Dr Suzie Imber, winner of the BBC's Astronauts: Do You Have What It Takes?’
She will deliver the sixth Annual Ogden Trust Public Science Lecture on Tuesday November 21 at 7pm.
Dr. Imber, who is an associate professor in space physics at Leicester University, will talk about her academic studies, working at NASA, her experience of competing in the BBC show and her love of mountaineering.
There will be a question and answer session at the end of the talk.
The event is supported by the Ogden Trust, an organisation the School works closely with to promote innovative teaching of physics regionally and nationally.
Jackie Flaherty, the school’s director of STEM and Ogden Trust Teacher Fellow said; “We are delighted to be hosting this fantastic event with such an exciting speaker.
"Coming so soon after the final of the astronauts programme we hope it will really fire people’s imaginations and be a fabulous evening where they can meet Suzie and hear first-hand about her experiences.”
Tickets are free, but places need to be reserved beforehand.
