A MICKLETON man who broke into a house in the village while subject to a suspended jail sentence for an earlier burglary has been sent to prison for 7 months.
Daniel Smith, 28, of Cedar Road, pleaded guilty at Cheltenham Magistrates court last week to burgling a house in Ballards Close on March 25 with intent to steal.
He also admitted that the offence was committed in breach of an 18 week suspended sentence he had previously received for burgling Granbrook Farm Stables in Mickleton last October and stealing a 50" TV, a saddle and jewellery.
The magistrates sentenced him to 18 weeks jail for the latest raid and implemented 15 weeks of the previous suspended sentence consecutively.
Smith was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
