THE annual Stourport Carnival helped raised more than £1,500 for good causes through the colourful parade that passed through the town.
Organisers said a street collection held during the popular event on September 2 collected a total of £1,560.78.
The money will now be shared between a number of charities.
Pete Roberts, from Stourport Carnival Committee, said: “This is an excellent effort and I want to thank and say ‘well done’ to all involved.
“What makes it more impressive is we had less floats than previous years but people still dug deep to support us.”
