THERE is still a chance to be involved in this year's Pershore Carnival procession.
The Spring Bank Holiday Monday will see the popular Pershore Carnival celebrating “50 Golden Years.”
Martin Hiden Procession Manager said “Pershore is among only a few towns in the country that still hold a carnival and without the support from local schools, businesses and groups we would run risk of this great tradition ending.
"Pershore Carnival Committee are dedicated to making this event one that we can all continue to enjoy for many years to come, but in order to do that we need the local community to get behind us and take part."
Spaces are still left for pedestrians as individuals or in small groups, for walking wheels featuring anything from a bed push to a push chair and for motorised, with the committee able to offer a lorry for free from local transport companies. There is a limited number on these so it is a case of first come first served.
All you have to do is dress your float on the morning of the carnival.
