THE Royal Mail has apologised for delayed post to some Worcestershire addresses, and stress deliveries are now back in track.
The Worcester News contacted the Royal Mail about the delays, which included to Tolladine and Upton addresses, which was blamed by a spokesman on last week's snow and ice.
A backlog was delivered to the addresses at the end of last week, and the spokesman says things are now back to normal.
The spokesman said: βIn some areas in and around Worcester there have been some delays to deliveries as a result of bad weather and we apologise to any customers affected by this.
"Deliveries are now back to normal and our postmen and women in our mail centres and on delivery are working around the clock to deliver Christmas for all of our customers.
"Anyone concerned about their deliveries should contact our Customer Service Team on 03457 740 740, on our website royalmail.com or by Twitter: @RoyalMail.β
The spokesman also stressed that the last recommended posting dates for post to be delivered in time for Christmas are today for second class, tomorrow, December 21, for First Class and Special Delivery and Friday, December 22, for Special Delivery Saturday Guaranteed.
