A SUSPECT has been arrested and charged with a two Evesham burglaries.
Alan Dale of Evesham, was arrested in the town on Wednesday and has since been charged with two burglaries, one at a shop and one at a flat.
The 45-year-old suspect was arrested following a combined effort from local Evesham police, the police integrated offender management team and police forensics.
Dale has been charged with a burglary at Clarks Shoe Shop, Bridge Street, Evesham and a flat burglary in Evesham High Street, both taking place overnight on February 2 and into February 3.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at court magistrates today (Thursday).
A police investigation continues into burglaries not thought to be linked to these two at Plan B Computers at the weekend.
Detective inspector David Knight of West Mercia Police said: "That investigation and others within Evesham are very much live.
"I’d urge the public and Businesses to remain vigilant during the hours of darkness within the High Street and Bridge Street areas of Evesham."
