DELIGHTED bosses at Kidderminster-based Vision Labs are celebrating after being named as a leader in people management.

The company has been awarded the coveted ‘Gold Employer of the Year at the latest Investors in People Awards.

The awards celebrate the best people management practices among Investors in People accredited businesses and Vision Labs, which received the award for an organisation of its size, was noted as ‘one of the most impressive first time assessments’ by one of the assessors.

Vision Labs has been a key part of Specsavers supply chain since 1997 and employs around 265 people in Kidderminster.

Dave Stanton, General Manager at Vision Labs, said: “We are thrilled and honoured to receive this prestigious award on behalf of our team in recognition of their hard work, commitment and passion to life at Vision Labs.

“We are constantly seeking innovative ways to inspire our people and have fun supporting our chosen charities and local community.

“This award is a celebration of our success, as we continue our Investors in People journey.”

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, added: “This year’s Investors in People Awards were the biggest and best to date.

“It was fantastic to see so many worthy organisations nominated for outperforming in their sector, demonstrating great people management practice and a commitment to staff development. Congratulations to Vision Labs.”

This latest award follows two accolades Vision Labs received two years ago - the University of Worcester award for commitment to people development from the Herefordshire and Worcester Chamber of Commerce and national runners up in the ‘Commitment to People Development’ award from The Business Chamber.

Vision Labs was recognised by Investors in People in July 2016 and received a gold standard award.
