The chairman opened the November meeting and wecomed 48 members to the meeting.

She thanked Margaret Parton for the beautiful flower arrangement she had provided for chairman’s table.

During the business section of the meeting, the members were asked to choose their menus for Christmas lunch at the Whittington Inn next month.

In early November a team from the guild took part in the interguild quiz at Stourbridge Football ground, unfortunately they did not enjoy our usual success.

The guild was represented at the Armistice Day Commemoration at Dudley Council House by 3 members of the committee.

The short service was very well attended by all ages groups.

We then enjoyed a flower arrangeing demonstration by Sandra Simpson, who heroically stepped in at the last moment when the arranged speaker could not meet her committement.

Mrs Simpson did three what she called credit crunch arrangements for us, using inexpensive flowers and garden folliage.

In her table wreath arrangement she used rose hips, dried oranges, cinnamon sticks and because it’s Christmas an Orchid.

Our next meeting is on 15th December when we shall be holding our Christmas party.

Meeting are held on the 3rd monday of the month in the Haven Room at the Zion Christian Centre Halesowen at 7.30.
