At the November meeting, a delightful flower arranging demonstration on a Christmas theme by Mrs Sylvia Parkes was enjoyed by everyone – each arrangement depicting an aspect of the season – these were later raffled and six ladies were very lucky.

Also at the start if this meetign a cheque for £350 was handed to Mr Geoff Woodford on behalf of Midlands Air Ambulance service, being amount raised from a sponsored walk by members.

In December this was our 48th Christmas party held at Hagley Country Club, Wassell Grove – a very enjoyable evening – good meals and service, musical entertainment and many raffles.

An average of 30 members and occasional visitors at meetings.

Our guild’s singers entertained several local groups over the period – always appreciated.

We are now looking forward to 2010 beginning January 21. New members are always welcome.
