Blind boy learns from the best

A SEVEN-year-old blind Worcester boy is receiving football coaching from a member of the Great British five-a-side football paralympic team.

Lee Greatbatch, who is himself blind, visits Claines Primary School every week to work with Harrison Keasey.

It is part of a link with the University of Worcester, whereby Mr Greatbatch and Ian Rowberry, a member of the Welsh deaf rugby team, work with pupils.

Headteacher Eleanor Sinton said: “Harrison thinks it’s fantastic, as playing football is something he never thought he would be able to do.”

Harrison uses a rattling football and follows its sound. He said: “I think it’s special. I’m learning and I can do it.”
