Worcestershire-wide service for nationality applicants

APPLICANTS for British nationality can now benefit from a new Worcestershire-wide service.

Worcestershire County Council’s registration service will check applications to make sure they have been submitted correctly, with all the necessary documents and fees.

The applications will then be forwarded to the Home Office for consideration.

The service is available via the Register Office at County Hall.

Registration and coroner services manager, Sharon Duggan, said they were “delighted” to offer the new service.

“We currently undertake citizenship ceremonies for those who have completed the process of attaining British nationality and we are now delighted to be able to offer this optional service to help people at the begining of their journey,” she added.

All valuable documents, such as passports, will be photocopied and returned straight away.
