I would like to let you know that chivalry is not dead in Colley Gate.
Having found thieves at work on my property recently, I chased them off but was too old to catch them as I am 68.
I waved down a car and asked for help.
Out stepped a willing knight named Richard. We made it to the local pub The Gate but by this time they had disappeared however we thought they might have gone inside.
Unfortunately they were not hiding in The Gate but having explained the situation, two other willing Knights – Dallas and Ian – stepped forward and said they would help too.
We went back to my home where they made sure everything was safe for me. They told me that if I ever needed any help again, they would be there for me, leaving their names and addresses.
They then left but not before advising me to phone the police and about an hour later the community police arrived.
I would like to thank these young men again through The Halesowen News because I cannot praise them highly enough.
For their kindness, willingness to help and advice – thank you my young knights: Richard, Ian and Dallas.
