Re: Keep villagers happy!
To Jim Durrell of Romsley village, I have now arranged for the Standard to be collected from Bromsgrove either by my wife or myself every week and we will deliver to the Post Office.
You can collect your copy from there free of charge as Jag the owner of the post office will not charge you.
Free delivery is now abandoned due to cutbacks and the biting recession and this is the only way I could ensure your free copy.
Moaning and groaning gets us nowhere and people in the village certainly do a lot of it.
If folk put their energies into getting something done instead of blaming everyone else or blaming people that try to help we would not still be five decades back.
The only reason we've had roads resurfaced of late is due to getting at the right people and plain wearing them down.
It's a plain fact that councillors and MP's won't do anything till their leaders tell them they can.
You have to do more than just type a letter out to a newspaper.
By the way villagers, the 191 signatures collected managed to get our drains some attention.
Next is the green bin petition which will go in very soon.
Cheers everyone, Stan Francis, Romsley Village independent.
