I read with great interest about the bulldozing of Knowle House and the comments of councillor Boucher saying they need to come down and this had been on the cards for sometime.
I for one wish that she had told us at the time of the first meeting about closing Knowle House that it had been on the cards for sometime.
This might have saved the families of the residents attending meeting after meeting trying to save Knowle House at the time.
Councillor Boucher and her fellow councillors Mr and Mrs Price sat on the front row and told how they would fight the fight but only for them to declare a vested interest and leave the meeting.
The residents were not housed in the councils five remaining homes.
We along with other families had to find alternative homes for our loved ones.
I ran into another resident’s family last week.
They informed me that like my own father in law their relative had passed away.
I wonder how many more residents have passed away.
I also wonder whether the new modern living houses that were promised all through the meetings will be built on one of these sites.
I somehow doubt it.
