I wish to respond to the letter published on May 14 ‘Get those buses off our estate’, whose tone I found offensive and rude.

Also I wish to point out it was the residents of the Halesmere estate that requested this bus service, after a campaign was carried out to gather their views.

This estate has a large number of elderly residents who are unable to walk to the nearest bus stop on Bromsgrove Road.

If Mrs Robinson has a problem with the way the buses are driven, she should take it up with the bus company.

Also, the buses do not run during the morning or the afternoon school run times.

Why do her children have to play in the road when she has a garden and plenty of local beautiful parks for them to play?

I am advocating for all the elderly residents of that estate who need this much valued service.
