Another round of bus service changes – another slap in the face for long-suffering users in Hayley Green.
I knew changes were to be made after 31st May (and expected the worst) but the latest service amendments beggars belief.
Service 242 between Halesowen and Stourbridge has been palmed off by National Express to Diamond Buses and renumbered 142. I used the 242 service every day (the last service at 2337 from Halesowen).
Imagine my disbelief and disgust that the last service is now 2310. It is impossible for me to get to Halesowen for this time (I'm still en route from Birmingham on the number 9).
This service amendment now means I have to catch a taxi from the bus station costing £5.00 a time).
Yet again the residents of Hayley Green are treated as second class citizens when it comes to evening bus services.
Can I point out to National Express and Diamond that we are not all in bed by 10pm! Come on Diamond, sort this mess out and provide us with a later final bus.
