How can the Royal Mail increase the price of postage for such a rubbish service and an equally inept customer service?
On Nimmings Road, Halesowen, our mail was not put through the letterbox but shoved under the side entrance half on the roadside so anyone walking past could help themselves.
There is a sign BOLTED to the front door which is sealed that has been there for six years instructing the postman to use the side entrance where there is a letterbox.
The next door neighbour’s letterbox is through the side entrance and has been since the house was built because they have no front door.
The other neighbour’s front door is on the front of their house. They do not even share this side entrance. This went on for over a week.
Four emails to Customer Service and two messages left by our neighbour and not even a phone call.
Our vigilant neighbour on the Saturday decided to camp out and wait for the postman and watched him shove the letters under the side entrance. When he caught hold of him and asked him what he was doing, the postman said that the door was locked.
HE DID NOT TRY THE DOOR…THERE IS NO LOCK…THERE ARE 2 GAPING HOLES WHERE A LOCK WOULD HAVE BEEN BUT THERE IS NO LOCK….THERE IS A SIGN ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE TELLING HIM TO USE THE PASSAGE BECAUSE THERE IS NO LOCK.
Finally I emailed ‘The Review Panel’ who actually emailed me back stating that I have to go through Customer Services first but it is nearly two weeks now and they still haven’t contacted any of us.
You would think that with the increase in identity fraud the Royal Mail would have at least contacted us to advise us that they were investigating the matter.
It is fortunate that I have good and honest neighbours who took the mail in for us.
