I wanted to comment on the effort put in by the carers of my mother- in-law during the recent bad weather.
Living on a hill, and making access very difficult, the care workers chose to walk to work on the mornings and evenings when the weather was very inclement.
This obviously was at a risk to themselves, due to ice and snow.
At 84-years-old and incapacitated, the carers should be very proud of themselves for the effort they put in.
My mother in law lives with us, so is lucky really. There are alot of old people who would not have seen anybody all day, if the carers had not bothered to call in following the snow, and chose to call into work to say that they could not make their calls due to the bad weather.
I can't praise them enough and felt that on behalf of my mother in law and the other old people and disabled people of Halesowen that their hard work and effort which is rarely recognised or acknowledged, should be on this occasion.
