Empty promises no good

I find it absolutely hilarious that James Morris and other Tories are claiming to be the party of the NHS – what a joke.

Do they think we have forgotten about their historical undernourishment of our most precious and world renowned National Health Service?

I fear what James Morris and the others will do if they get into power again.

They have voted against all progressive investment in the NHS and claim to disagree with targets but ultimately they disagree with the founding principles of the NHS.

The Tories fought the creation of the NHS after the Second World War, they've always undermined it, now the people of Great Britain love this institution they don't want to be seen to only care about their rich friends so they pretend to support it. This is gross hypocrisy.

I had serious heart surgery when I was a baby, my mum was a single mother living in social housing, everyone in my family has always worked hard and paid their taxes, when we needed help, it was there.

I dread to think what families like mine would do if the tories get their way in the long run and the private sector encroaches on our NHS anymore.

Don't be fooled by James Morris- all the slick Cameron style literature he is circulating in Halesowen and this claim to want to protect the NHS is shallow and transparent. Opportunistic empty promises James, not impressed. R Ashton, Halesowen

Your Say Your Halesowen

NHS waiting times under Major and Thatcher were mush worse than today, and certainly the Tories must not gain Halesowen/Rowley or they’ll have a Commons majority. People can safely vote Labour to stop them without Brown preserving his own majority, whereas 60 seats further up the Tory target list in Stourbridge voting Labour is too risky. A win there probably maintains a Labour Commons majority, so in Stourbridge the Tories must be supported to stop them.
