Will anything ever be done about Halesowen's bleakest island

I read with great interest the letter about Grange Island in Halesowen is bleakest island, I also have written to the council about getting traffic islands planted with flowers.

I wrote to the Mayor and relevant departments in April this year asking if they may consider planting the island at Manor Lane and Spies Lane to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.

I had a reply from the Mayor's parlour to say they passed it on to the Green Care team but as of July I have not had a reply.

This area of Dudley appears to be forgotten when it comes to these matters.

There are numerous bleak areas in Dudley Borough. Has anyone seen the island at the top end of Huntingtree Road, Halesowen lately? Talk about forgotten. This island was once graced with bulbs with nicely cut grass. Now it is loking derelict. Come on DMBC buck your ideas up and start taking a pride in our borough.

I can recall when Grange Island was all rubber tyres, painted white and black if I recall right - it was more interesting then.
