No Humanitarian Aid crisis in Gaza
7:00pm Tuesday 24th July 2012 in Letters
I'm contacting you to express my dismay that these young people were encouraged to act out this monstrous untruth.
There is no Humanitarian Aid crisis in Gaza as Israel allows around 150 trucks per day in with aid and the Red Cross have officially stated that there is no crisis.
The young people failed to mention the 100's of Rockets that land in Sderot and other Israeli towns every week.
The children in these towns are totally traumatised, as children from the age of 7 upwards have never known life without these terrorist attacks and they have just 15 seconds to get to a shelter -
if they have one. You can watch this on You Tube - just type in 15 seconds Sderot.
No mention of the millions of Dollars that have been poured into Gaza. I have visited Israel many times and have seen the mansion type houses of Hamas Officials.
Saddest of all is that a Church could "forget to mention" the attrocities committed by Hamas towards the Gazan Christians.
Only this week there have been reports of kidnappings and forced conversions to Islam. Christians are having to flee Gaza - not because of the Israeli's ( there are NO Jews in Gaza ) but because of the persecution from their Muslim neighbours.
Perhaps the young people could be encouraged to look at the real facts, and not act on the foolish and very inaccurate information being fed to them by their leaders.
I realise that you only report what you see, but I just could not let this pass without providing the "other side" of the story.
Thanking you for allowing me to put the record straight!
Yours Sincerely,
Hilary Mountford
