Whatever happened to the Leasowes Park re-development?
Whatever happened to basic maintenance and repairs?
The answer to both questions appears to be "nothing has happened".
During the last ten years, the only improvement of any note is the new steps on the Kent Road side of the park.
The pathways, particularly on the Ladypool Close side of the Park are a disgrace.
Is this a case of bad management or gross negligence?
Having read the reports in the Halesowen News of the 7th and 14th February, it appears the answer to the last question above is "yes" to both.
Why has lottery money been spent, or supposedly spent, on maintenance when this cost should be covered by the Council's "Public Parks Budget".
It would appear that most of the lottery funding has disappeared down a black hole or has it been misappropriated?
To suggest that the HLF is happy with the situation is a poor joke, which is what the Leasowes re-development has become.
Perhaps the people in charge of these projects can supply some intelligent and coherent answers and no more bovine effluent please.
