FORMER Blue star Simon Webbe Blue will be huffing and puffing in Birmingham later this month when he plays the Big Bad Wolf in Stiles and Drewe’s retelling of The Three Little Pigs.

The Strictly Come Dancing star joins stars from the worlds of pop, musical theatre and Saturday night TV for this brand new sophisticated family musical appearing at Birmingham Town Hall from Tuesday, July 28 to Sunday, August 2.

Simon Webbe will be joined by Alison Jiear (Olivier Nominated - Jerry Springer The Opera, On The Town, Britain’s Got Talent 2015), Leanne Jones (Hairspray) and Wolverhampton’s Taofique Fplarok (The Lion King, Avenue Q).

Discover how the three little porkers become world renowned celebrity superstars when forced to leave the warmth of their mother’s overcrowded sty.

Will the Three Little Pigs cope without their adoring mother? Will their DIY building skills cut the mustard? And will they be able to stand on their own four trotters and outwit the Big Bad Wolf?

This fun packed musical will have audiences squealing with glee and howling with laughter and is the perfect Summer treat for all the family.

George Stiles, from acclaimed songwriting duo Stiles and Drew, said: ‘‘Most children will know the story of The Three Little Pigs, so our job has been to reinvent it in a theatrical way, with hummable, memorable songs that will appeal to the whole family.

"Our three - Bar who loves to exercise, Bee who is “green” to the core, and Q the insatiable bookworm – learn to work together as a team to defeat the Big Bad (but possibly misunderstood) Wolf.

"We love surprising and bewitching our younger audiences, some of whom will be visiting the theatre for the first time. We take it as a great responsibility to encourage and nurture audiences of the future, so we try to ensure their first experience of a musical is a memorable one.”
