Austen's Emma staged at Hanbury Hall

TICKETS are now on sale for the first of this year’s outdoor theatre productions at Hanbury Hall.

The stunning National Trust property, near Droitwich Spa, is the setting for an outdoor performance of the Jane Austen classic, Emma by Heartbreak Productions, on Thursday 16 July.

This heart-warming, charming story tells of Emma, a clever, rich and slightly bored young woman and the troubles she encounters in her attempts as matchmaker to her friends. The story is brought to life by Heartbreak with music, dance and audience participation in this unique and inventive adaptation.

Alice Eddy, visitor services manager says: “It’s always a pleasure to welcome Heartbreak Productions to Hanbury Hall for another of their brilliant performances.”

“The gardens here are a magnificent setting for outdoor theatre and it’s always advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.”

Visitors are welcome to bring along a picnic to enjoy before the performance, along with low-back chairs or a rug to sit on. No barbecues or patio umbrellas are permitted. Light refreshments will also be available from the Stables Café before the performance and during the interval.

Tickets for the performance are £12.50 for adults and £8.50 for children. Gates open at 6.30pm and the performance will start at 7.30pm.

The next outdoor theatre performance at the property is on 13 August, with the Mowgli Stories, by Rudyard Kipling.

To purchase tickets and for further details please call the property on 01527 821214.
