Oldbury rock band Holocene are preparing for their biggest ever gig - supporting The Last Carnival.

The Cardiff band approached the lads from Holocene to be their support band for their gig in Birmingham on Wednesday, September 12.

The four lads from Oldbury have been making waves in the West Midlands music scene throughout this year and were even given a ringing endorsement by Carl Barat from the Libertines.

Bish Davies, singer and founder of Holocene, said: “We were over the moon when The Last Carnival asked us to play on their bill because they are a fantastic signed band.

“There should be over 400 people crammed into the 02 Academy 3 in Birmingham and we are planning to blow the roof off the place.”

He added: “A few of us in the band are heading to university so we are going to make this a night to remember for us and all our fans who have been brilliant.”

For tickets to the gig on Wednesday visit the Holocene Facebook page or follow the band on Twitter @HoloceneUK.
