JOHN Hill says he is “99 per cent certain” Dean Coleman will leave Halesowen Town for Stourbridge.

The Yeltz boss was hopeful the former Kidderminster Harriers keeper, who arrived at the Grove for a third spell last month, would reject a seven day approach from the rival Glassboys.

But he now seems resigned to losing his man.

Hill said: “I’ve not spoken to Dean but we have exchanged text messages.

“I’m now 99 per cent certain that is him done with us.

“At the end of the day we can’t offer him what they can. Money talks unfortunately.

“I’m disappointed but there’s nothing we can do.”

Fortunately, the Yeltz have a ready made replacement in the shape of Paul Evans, last year’s player of the season who dropped to the bench when Coleman arrived.

Hill added: “Paul’s attitude throughout all this has been first class.

“He will be more than deserving of his place back.”

Stour’s approach was prompted by a knee injury to long-term custidian Lewis Solly and they will be eager to complete a deal ahead of this Saturday’s home game with Hitchin Town.
