CRADLEY boss Will Pottinger has hailed the club’s partners for continuing their backing despite their relocation to Perry Barr.

The Heathens saw their future thrown into limbo at the end of last season when their Monmore Green home became unavailable before they quickly secured a move to the Birmingham venue for the new campaign.

Despite their move, they have already enjoyed a hugely successful season off the track with a large number of season ticket sales plus excellent support from local businesses.

Cradley Heath-based Motor Market have stepped up their involvement to become main team sponsors whilst Recycled Aggregates, Curtis Sport and Ron Homer have continued as club partners.

They have also welcomed on board Venue Cuisine as a partner as they continue to build for the defence of their National League title.

After overcoming a rocky period over the winter, Pottinger is thrilled to see local businesses continue to back the Heathens as they prepare for an exciting year.

He said: “We weren’t too sure how people would react to us moving to Perry Barr, but to see the reaction we’ve had not only from fans but from sponsors has been hugely positive.

“We are going into our sixth season now, and to see the level of support the club continues to receive is really tremendous.

“Motor Market have been with us for a couple of years now as team partners, so it’s great to see them step up and become our full team sponsors.

“Of course they are based in Cradley Heath, not very far from the old Dudley Wood track, so there is a nice connection there with the history of the Heathens.

“It’s also good to see Recycled Aggregates, Ron Homer and Curtis Sport staying on board after last year and continuing their support despite our move to a new location.

“We’ve welcomed some new sponsors on board as well, so we are very grateful to those who are supporting us.

“Things are looking positive both on and off the track for the Heathens at the moment, so we are looking forward to the season getting underway.”

The Heathens side will go through their paces at Perry Barr for pre-season press and practice on Wednesday, March 11, at 2pm.

That same evening the riders and management and riders will be in attendance at the season launch night at the Copthorne Hotel in Brierley Hill from 8pm. Admission is £5 and tickets are still available from the club website shop cradleyheathens.co or the club shop at Printworx, High Street, Quarry Bank. All money will go to the riders and the new race jacket will be unveiled.
