HALESOWEN Town chairman Colin Brookes has praised fans after pleasing season ticket sales.

Brookes said: "It is brilliant. We have already passed 60 season tickets, whcih is perhaps the best sales we have ever had at this stage,” he added.

“Hopefully we can start well for our supporters because they deserve it.”

Meanwhile, the Yeltz have signed young defender Isaac Cooper.

The promising full back has boosted the Yeltz ranks ahead of the new season after arriving from Hinckley United.

He follows recent additions in midfielder Ashley Parsons Smith and strikers Connor Collins, Greg Pearson and Mike Taylor.

Manager John Hill is keen to bring new faces to The Grove after losing five key players already this summer Defenders Curtis Tilt and Kristian Green, midfielders Tom Tonks and Aaron Forde, and forward Ben Haseley have all left the club.

Hill said: “Isaac is a 19-year-old Black Country lad who we have signed from Hinckley United. He is an exciting prospect who loves to get forward and also possesses a huge throw. Isaac is definitely one for the future which can only be good for Halesowen Town.”

Regulars from last season in the form Matthew Sargeant, captain Joe Hull, Aaron Griffiths, Asa Charlton and Danny Bragoli have also been confirmed as part of the 2015/16 squad.

Chairman Colin Brookes added: “It is great to be able to welcome Isaac to the club. I know the manager was very pleased to be able to bring him in.

“It is all systems go now. John has a few more irons in the fire and is also planning to look at a few others during pre-season training.”

The Friends Of The Grove Supporters Association are holding a working party this Saturday.

Volunteers will meet at the ground in Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, from 9am.

A barbecue breakfast will be put on while fans help with cleaning, painting and general preparations for the season ahead.
