DUDLEY Town have announced a major new sponsorship deal.

Black Country Training Group will now support the Robins ahead of the new season after Dudley MP Ian Austin helped bring the parties together.

BCTG were officially unveiled as the club’s new sponsor at Dudley Council House last Thursday.

The announcement coincided with Dudley mayor Steve Waltho signing up as a Friend of Dudley Town.

People can support their local club by becoming a Friend of Dudley Town for just £1 a week, entitling members to free entry to all home league games and a quarterly newsletter.

Steve Austin, chairman of Dudley Town, said: “It’s great to see the mayor in a Dudley Town shirt and we’ve had incredible support from the community. BCTG’s support will help take things to the next level.”

Chris Luty, BCTG director, said: “We’re really pleased to support Dudley Town by sponsoring them for the next three years. We’ll be working with them to go from strength to strength.”

Ian Austin added: “Many remember Dudley Town hosting York City in the first round proper of the FA Cup in 1977. We’re now the biggest place in the country with no league team. Steve Austin has done a great job rebuilding our local club, and I’m delighted that BCTG stepped in to support them.”
