CHRIS Rabone has become Ross Thorpe and Phil Male’s fourth summer signing at Tividale after joining from Sporting Khalsa.

The talented winger returns to Dale for a second stint and was a key figure for Ian Rowe last season, as Khalsa claimed the West Midlands Regional League title.

“I’m delighted to return here to Tividale, and looking forward to the season starting,” said Rabone.

“It was a tough decision to leave Khalsa after such a good season last year, but it wasn’t a tough choice to sign here. As soon as I knew Ross Thorpe and Phil (Male) were interested in signing me, I knew I wanted to step up and play in the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League.

“The fixtures are out now and we’re working hard in training – the lads can’t wait to get started, it’s going to be a strong league again this season and we know how important the team spirit will be.”

Joint Manager Thorpe is pleased Rabone has signed on the dotted line, adding: “Chris is a very talented footballer and on his day can produce a little bit of magic that can win you the game.

“He works hard for the team but his creativity is going to be very important for us – we’re delighted to have him here.”
