OLD Hill's rich crop of young cricketers are looking to make a major impact in this season's Under 19 Natwest Club T20 Blast.

They take on Cannock this Thursday night at Haden Hill starting at 6.30pm when they will be hoping to progress after having already beaten Himley and Old Wulfrunians in the competition.

The game features all the razzmatazz of T20 cricket with music, coloured clothing, pink balls, barbecue and drinks.

Known as Old Hill CC Strikers, they have every chance of doing well in the competition as several players are already established first team players.

Key batsman Hamza Ahmed features for Warwickshire Under-19's, while strike bowler Billy J Cox, together with Dan Brosnan and Dylan Keeling-Wright are regulars in the first team who are flying high in Birmingham League Division One.

Old Hill Strikers also have home games lined up on Thursday, August 6 when they host Brewood Badgers and then against Fordhouses on Monday, August 10.

If successful, the Haden Hill side would then go onto represent Staffordshire against the winners of the North Staffs South Cheshire League.
