GORNAL boss Andy Wyton says his players are eager to get back into action after two weeks without a match.

Athletic are due to face local rivals Dudley Town at Garden Walk tonight before hosting Malvern Town this Saturday.

Wyton admits the games will be tough but says he now knows what to expect from his squad after a host of mid-season changes.

"I know what I'll get from the team," he said. "Out have gone big names and big attitudes and in have come lads that will work hard for each other.

"We have gone back to basics a little and turned to a few players from last season and younger lads. I know we can compete with anyone now and will give our all each week.

"Everyone is keen to play again after a big break. It's been frustrating but hopefully we can start winning a few now."

The Peacocks will be without Geoff Hill, Brady Weston and Carl Martin this Saturday who all serve suspensions.

Chris Bladen is also absent and Kris Wedderburn and Luke Guy both injured.

However, Wyton is set to hand Joel Fullwood a place on the bench after promoting him from the club's under-21 side.
