CRADLEY made it three home wins out of three with a 45-27 victory against King's Lynn.

The Heathens maintained their 100 per cent home record on a night of racing which was cut short due to a heavy downpour prior to heat 13.

After the visiting Young Stars' number one Tom Stokes took the chequered flag in the opener, the Heathens went on to secure the remaining 11 heat winners on another dominant night at Monmore Green.

Team manager Will Pottinger said: "After the disappointing result at Birmingham last week it was important that we bounced back and we did just that.

"We managed to get our noses in front with a couple of heat advantages in the first few races and from there we just kicked on.

"Our top three continued their own good run of form and there were plenty of positive signs for the two reserves as well."

Meanwhile, the Heathens have unveiled plans for their showpiece Golden Hammer individual event which is set to pack the Monmore terraces this summer.

The meeting, one of the most famous open meetings on the domestic calendar, will take place on Tuesday, August 9 and will once again be promoting Dudley Stroke Association.

Promoter Gary Patchett has described the event as a 'celebration meeting' and admits he is excited by the potential line-up.

"The ethos of this wonderful meeting has always been a mix of Heathens riders past and present as well as previous winners," Patchett explained.

"We are already looking to extend that theme this year and we are looking into inviting as many former Heathens' favourites back as is possible.

"It's a meeting that our own fans love and it's often one of the bigger crowds of the season."

The team go to Coventry next Friday (May 6) and Belle Vue a day later before returning to Monmore for more National League action against the Isle of Wight on Monday, May 9.
