COOMBS Wood took valuable points out of a rain-reduced contest when they visited Enville last Saturday.
In a match cut to 25 overs per team, Alex Chappell and Sam Peruzza both hit half centuries to reach a competitive 144.
In reply, Enville made a decent start, but Chappell took 5-20 in a six over spell to restrict the hosts to 122-8.
The Wood were denied an outright win, but gathered 16 points for a winning draw. This Saturday they will welcome Feckenham.
Meanwhile, the seconds' game was abandoned after several interruptions caused by a mixture of rain, sleet, hail and snow.
Some careless batting saw The Wood reach 128-9 off 35 overs before the weather eventually brought play to an end.
This weekend will see them face a daunting trip to Worcester Nomads.
The thirds travel to Harborne next week after their 2016 opener against Netherton was also abandoned without a ball being bowled.
