GORNAL Athletic manager Matt Fisher has brought in three new signings as he looks to bag the club's first win of the season.

Full back Steve Hill has arrived from Wrens Nest and striking duo Cordell Whyte and Oliver Manoochehri have come in from Highgate United and Lichfield City respectively.

The Peacocks were set to host Nuneaton Griff in the Birmingham Mid-week Floodlit Cup last night before returning to league action at Malvern Town this Saturday.

Fisher said: "We're now starting to bring in quality to the club.

"When I first arrived we had to mainly bolster the numbers but the new arrivals will help us a lot and they like what we are trying to do.

"It may take a few games for them to gel but hopefully we can start to gain some confidence.

"We didn't have a game on Saturday but I had the team in training and everything is coming together. Hopefully that first win isn't far away.

"We just need to keep working had."

Meanwhile, Gornal have received a boost after securing a new club sponsor.

Black Country Scaffold is now supporting the club and will have the company's logo displayed on the first team shirts.
