YOUNG Halesowen runner Adam Bashir is celebrating after finishing in the top 10 in the annual Birmingham Junior Great Run.
The new multi-terrain course was held for the first time at Alexander Stadium and had various club runners from around the Midlands, competing.
14-year-old Adam, who runs for Halesowen Athletics Club, completed the 2.5k long race in a very respectable time of 11:16 to squeeze into 10th place. The race was won by Lewis Harknett.
