GORNAL Athletic continued their charge towards the top end of the table with a 4-0 victory over Bromyard last Saturday.

The Peacocks extended their unbeaten run to six games thanks to a brace from Callum Campbell and strikes from Liam Hickman and Liam Morris.

The win moved them up to seventh place in the Division One of the West Midlands League ahead of this Saturday's clash with basement boys Willenhall at Garden Walk (3pm kick-off).

Manager Matt Fisher said: "We played very well and dominated from start to finish.

"We didn't do everything perfectly and still have things to work on but on a whole it was a good performance.

"We got two early goals which really helped us and meant we could manage the game before getting the other two late on.

"We are going really well at the moment and a lot of that is down to the work of my backroom staff.

"They have been brilliant and are a big part of why the spirit is so good at the moment."

Fisher is determined not to take Willenhall lightly this weekend, adding: "I know from last season when we were down at the bottom that they will still be working hard and determined to come here and stop our winning run.

"We will have to match their work-rate first and foremost."
