DAVE King says he's been frustrated that his title-chasing Tividale side have been unable to build momentum since the turn of the year.

Dale were again left without a game last Saturday after their home clash with Malvern Town fell victim to a waterlogged pitch.

It means they have played just one league game in 2018.

King said: "It is frustrating and even though it is the same for many clubs we still wanted to try and build up a head of steam.

"We have put the work in on the training ground but nothing beats actually playing games."

Tivi are due to welcome Racing Club Warwick to the Beeches on Tuesday night in the Mid-week Floodlit Cup before a trip to the inconsistent but dangerous Wolverhampton Casuals this Saturday.

King added: "Wolves Casuals will be a tough fixture for us and we have to be prepared for that.

"They have had a mixed season but on their day they are capable of beating anyone in this league.

"We must make sure we're ready for the challenge, especially after not playing much recently."

Tividale have received an approach for Joe Lawley from Midland Premier League outfit Stourport Swifts. However, it's believed the player is keen to stay at Dale until the end of the season.
