Jawanda treble joy as Kings humble Kiddy
8:00pm Monday 22nd October 2012 in Sport
BILLY Jawanda scored a hat-trick as Kingswinford continued their excellent form with an 8-1 demolition of Kidderminster.
The hosts looked settled and in command from the start against a nervous-looking Kidderminster, who despite the scoreline put up a brave fight.
Kam Mann fired Kings into an early lead after Jawanda’s shot was saved and made it two soon after with a sweet far post finish.
Kidderminster looked for a way back but were further punished when Jawanda flicked home his first from close range.
Ten minutes before the break Ajay Sandhu made it four when he fired home from the spot after a visiting player had blocked a shot with his foot on the line.
Jawanda then sent Kings into the dressing room in even higher spirits when he got the fifth on the stroke of half-time.
He completed his hat-trick soon after the break by finishing off a nice move.
Kidderminster then pulled one back as Kings took their foot off the gas but Bal Lally scored twice late on to complete a fine win.
The seconds lost their unbeaten record after suffering a 3-2 defeat at Tamworth.
It was obvious from the early stages this would not be an easy game and it was Tamworth who broke the deadlock with a shot which evaded Kings keeper Harry Bains.
This sparked Kings into life and Surjit Takhar levelled with an unstoppable shot.
Tamworth regrouped and went back ahead after converting a short corner but Kings hit back through Takhar again to level it up at 2-2.
Kings looked more likely to score again but instead it was the hosts who made the breakthrough to snatch the win.
