REIGNING Stourbridge Snooker League champions Kinver came unstuck when they crashed 4-1 against Snooks SC B team.

To make matter worse for Kinver slipped to fourth after West Midlands Police’s 4-1 success at Hotshots.

Neil Marshall made a welcome return to form for the Police by producing a 65 break, while Kevin Franklin lost his frame, following a run of 16 wins, when Milan Krstanovic secured a consolation success for Hotshots.

Brierley Hill Sports Bar B retain their four point lead on top of the Premier Division, but were given a fright by their B side, who led 2-0 at one stage when Callum Downing and John Pritchett were beaten by Mike Richards and Paul Dunkey.

However, wins for Jon Bate, Russ Edwards and Luke Garland turned the match around.

Highlight of Norton Social A’s 3-2 win over Snooks SC A was an outstanding 85 break from Adam Ness.

Cary Homer made a winning debut for Amblecote Institute A with a break of 40, helping his side to a 4-1 win over Stourbridge Institute A, while Rich Pepperall took the deciding frame for Pockets SC A, beating the in-form Ian Priest of Brierley Hill C.

Kingswinford RBL A edged past Netherton Sports and Social by a 3-2 margin in Division One.

Steve Small and Gregg Reece gave the Legion an excellent start before Anthony Davies made certain of victory.

Andy Barnett and Carl Webb, who got the better of Andrew Brown, hit back for Netherton, leaving both sides locked at the top of the table on exactly the same number of points.

While Brierley Hill’s D team had a bye, Amblecote RBL made the short trip to Amblecote Institute B where they won 4-1.

Kingswinford Cons A snapped up a 3-2 win at Kingswinford Snooker Centre thanks to Wayne Whitmore, John Cartwright and Brian Arnold, who rolled back the years to clinch the deciding frame.

The battle to win Division Two remains as tight as ever with Kinver Constitutional D leading by a single point despite their 3-2 defeat at home to Stourbridge Institute C.

Nick Aston and Harry Jones put the visitors 2-0 up before Bob Jones pulled a frame back, Trevor Pardoe made sure of victory for the Institute.

Keith Rollinson then won the last frame on the black for Kinver, but the Institute now move to within three points of the leaders.
