HALESOWEN cycling star Matt Clarke continued his strong start to the season with 10th at the Evesham Vale Road Race.
The 19-year-old rode well over the 65-mile course near Inkberrow, backing up a strong 13th place at the previous week’s Roy Thame Cup when he took on some of the country’s top riders.
Fellow Halesowen Cycling Club racer Callum Ferguson was also in action at Evesham. Ferguson, who is starting his second year as a junior, began his campaign with seventh spot at the Shrewsbury circuit race.
Elsewhere, Lee Buckley finished a very creditable fifth in the Darley Moor Circuit Race.
