BUSY Dudley Sports boss Tony Gore brought in 12 players this week — with the promise of more to come.

Gore and joint-manager Paul Blakeley have been left with the task of completely rebuilding their West Midland League squad following a mass exodus of players.

The pair have worked overtime to bring in Dominic Richards and Eric Kucerak from Stourbridge’s youth side together with Tom Rann and Ben Mantom from Kidderminster Harriers academy.

They’ve also added Mike Connelly and Matt Baker from former Midland Combination side Greenhill coupled with Nuni Yakubu and Ian Hales from West Midlands League rivals Bartley Green.

Other captures include Danny Sinton who was previously with Bewdley Town, while Damian Lewis and Kristian Poole have arrived from Sunday football, while Jack Hickman has been promoted from the club’s under-21s side.

Gore said: “It’s been frantic to say the least, the phone’s been red hot.

“I still need another two or three to complete the squad and I hope to have them on board by next week.”

Sports are on the look out for opposition over the next two Saturdays to play friendlies at The Dell.

n Meanwhile, Andy Wyton has added Keiran Snead to his Dudley Town side after the player impressed against the Under-21’s last Saturday.

Wyton saidd: “Keiron used to play for me when I ran the Hope Tavern side in Netherton.

“I spoke to him last Friday and he turned up for the following day’s game, so I gave him 40 minutes and he impressed on the left.

“I’m not looking for anyone else now — I’ve got my squad.”

Croatian-born striker Dreniz Bala bagged four goals as the Under-21’s were beaten 7-0.

Dudley Town are due to face last season’s West Midland League champions AFC Wulfrunians this week followed by a game against Gornal Athletic Reserves on Saturday, both games scheduled to take place at the Dell Stadium.
