DUDLEY and Stourbridge Harriers’ talented crop of young sprinters featured prominently again at the final Midland Counties Track and Field League which took place in Sutton.
Under-17 sprinter Kyle De Escofet finished second in both the 100 and 200 metres A races clocking 11.0 seconds and 22.2 respectively.
Ben Tuka-Noka won the B 100 metres clocking 11.1 and then finished second in the B 200 metres with a time of 23.1.
Richard Woodhall continued his good form in the field events this summer by winning the A shot put with 12.96 metres.
He also won the javelin with 50.65m and then finished third in his weakest event, the hammer.
Joe Smith also snapped up plenty of points by winning the B events in the shot put, discus and hammer and then came second in javelin for good measure.
Sprinter Emily Horne came third in the women’s 100m in 13.0 and then came fourth in the 200 metres when timed at 27.0 before going onto take fourth place in the long jump.
Middle-distance runner Molly Whitehouse also had a hectic afternoon by finishing second in the 800 metres with 2.32.8 and then ran both the 1500 and 3,000 metre races, picking up more valuable points.
