Robins put the boot into Wellington
10:47am Thursday 19th September 2013 in Sport
DUDLEY Town can’t stop scoring goals at the moment.
The Robins rattled home another six past Wellington this week taking their recent tally to 35 in seven games.
Manager Andy Wyton said: “We seem to be fazed when we play against any of the big guns and maybe I’m to blame for putting too much pressure on the players.
“So I just told them to go out and enjoy themseves — and they did!”
Dominic Watson and Steve Edmunds’ goal of the game put Dudley 2-0 up within the opening five minutes. Dreniz Bala bagged two more with Rion Francis-Mills and Adam Callinswood also on target.
Goalkeeper Steve Harper also got in on the limelight by saving two penalties.
Wyton added: “The pitch was perfect, the best I’ve seen in two-and-a-half years at Dudley and that suited us.
“We were able to play, pass the ball around and in all honesty, we could have won by double figures.”
The Robins host Midland Combination side Studley this Saturday in the FA Vase.
