HALAS Hawks Under-18’s boss Tony Harley had a red letter day this week.
He became the first player-manager in Hawks long history and celebrated when his side produced a storming recovery against Kewford Eagles.
Hawks came from 2-0 down to clinch a 5-2 victory, Sharn Shelley scoring twice with Alex Giles, Trev Harris and Charlie Durrell all on target.
The girls had plenty to celebrate as well when the Under-18s beat Walsall Ladies 5-1 after Kate Drew and Liz MCAleenan scored twice with Charlotte Pardoe producing a fifth with a fantastic flick over the goalkeeper.
Halas Hawks Ladies lost out 2-1 against Solihull Moors, Erin Hickin providing the Halesowen side’s goal.
