CRADLEY’S Chris Male returns to action at Walsall Town Hall on November 16 when he takes on Coventry’s Troy James in a British title eliminator.

The pair were due to meet this month but Male was laid low by a calf injury while James got struck down by illness.

They are now back up and running, with the winner moving closer to a shot at the British Super Featherweight belt which is currently held by Liverpool’s Stephen Smith.

Also on the same Walsall bill is Stourbridge’s former Midland Area Welterweight champion Steven Pearce who locks horns with Stafford’s Rob Hunt for a British Masters Welterweight tap.

It will be 28-year-old Pearce’s first appearance since losing his Midland title to Sam Eggington in April.

Hunt will prove a tough oopnent, having earlier this month enjoyed a convincing victory over Andrew Patterson. It followed a lengthy absence since bowing out of ‘Prizefighter’ when he sustained a severe cut.

Halesowen super middleweight Lennox Clarke and Tipton flyweight Ainsley Ratcliffe are also expected to feature on the card.

Tickets are available from Walsall Town Hall box office on 0845 1112900.
